Case study of solving challenges in electric furnaces with Haibec products.
We have reduced waiting time through direct heating with near-infrared radiation, achieving improved productivity in the testing process.
■Customer Challenges - The electric furnace takes a very long time to start up and cool down, allowing for only one test per day. - Even after the electric furnace is operational, it takes over an hour to heat the test specimen to 900°C, resulting in poor work efficiency. ■Heating Experiment Conducted We borrowed the test specimen and conducted heating experiments using a four-lamp focusing unit (halogen lamp focusing furnace) in our lab. ■Proposed Solution With the near-infrared heat beam, the test specimen reaches over 900°C in about 150 seconds. We confirmed a significant reduction in time compared to the electric furnace. By using a four-lamp focusing unit (3920W, heating length 140mm) tailored to the dimensions of the test specimen, we shortened heating and cooling times, enabling multiple tests and improving work efficiency. The near-infrared heat beam uses a radiation heating method, allowing for efficient heating of the target object without directly raising the ambient temperature. As a result, unnecessary waiting times were reduced, leading to an overall increase in productivity for the tests.
